We were asked to comment on a proposal from Rowlands Pharmacy that they are looking to merge their sites.
There has been alot of conflicting debate about benefits of 15 minute neighbourhoods, but especially for those without a car, being able to easily get to your local pharmacy when you’re not feeling well is important. We recognise the challenges of staffing sites, but Poole People Councillors have highlighted the need to keep a Pharmacy service open in Oakdale, rather than just have a cluster of Pharmacies in the town centre.
With the surrounding sheltered flats, and the possibility of an Extra Care development just across the road on the old school site, it would be a real shame for those who most need a local facility.
